Job Description:OverviewAssistant Director of Nursing (RN) - The Neighborhood Retirement Community – Rio Rancho, NMThe Neighborhood Retirement Community is a beautiful CCRC located in Rio Rancho. Join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) — a dynamic, dual-role leadership position that combines clinical education, infection prevention, and resident care oversight in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). In this critical role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure all SNF Nurse Manager responsibilities are covered. This includes direct oversight of wound care, Staff Development, Infection Prevention, and on-call duties. You’ll also serve as the primary support for the DON, stepping in as needed to provide leadership coverage in their absence.What you'll do:Lead clinical training & orientationEnsure regulatory compliance (CDC, CMS, etc.)Oversee infection control & staff competencyCoordinate interdisciplinary care plansWage Range: $95,000 - $105,000 / annually DOE *compensation may be higher with IP certification*About You:
Strong Knowledge of infection prevention and control protocols; certification strongly preferred & will increase compensation
Active RN license in good standing
Experience in staff education, training, or development in a clinical or long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including CDC and CMS guidelines
Proven ability to design and implement training programs and competency evaluations
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Effective collaborator with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care
Skilled in maintaining accurate educational and compliance records
