Medtronic is intensely focused on creating a workplace environment which reflects our standing as the world’s top medical device company.The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting desire to improve our business.A Day in the LifeIn this exciting role you will have responsibility for the Receiving and Inspection, testing, and/or verification of incoming components and materials per documented work instructions in the Incoming Quality Assurance department.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to receive and inspect incoming components and materials
  • Document and approve acceptance record as part of the Device History Record(s)
  • Review lot history documentation for discrepancies or missing information, and document any non-conformances.
  • Communicate with peers, Supervisor and Engineers on product usage decisions and dispositions
  • Work closely with Engineering to develop and improve Receiving/Inspection process of new parts or commodities
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a high school degree/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have:Exceptionally qualified candidates will have the following experiences and/or qualifications:
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable of Factory Works and/or SAP
  • Familiar with specification usage
  • Experience using BQMS, Enovia, or MAP Agile as a documentation system
  • Microelectronic and Hybrid component familiarity
  • Medical manufacturing experience
  • Proficient in multiple Inspection and Test methods, i.e., Automated and Manual Measurement Systems, Material Properties, Visual, Electrical, etc.
  • Detail oriented and good organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good writing and documentation skills
  • Good people skills to understand cultural differences, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively
  • Interface with Engineers providing summary reports and updates regarding material status, equipment issues, etc.
  • Interface with Hybrid Manufacturing and Stock base to ensure material supply, inventory levels, etc.
  • Support the clerical areas as needed
  • Forklift certified or willing to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP), and quality management software (Agile)
