This Role will not allow sponsorship at this time.The Lead Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the backbone of FBIN’s IT infrastructure. As part of the FBIN IT Infrastructure team, this individual is responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of hardware, software, networks, and cloud services to support business operations effectively. As a lead engineer, they will lead teams, strategize technology solutions, and ensure systems' reliability, scalability, and security.Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Design and Strategy
- Develop scalable infrastructure solutions that meet current and future business requirements by working closely with Infrastructure and Architecture teams.
- Promote strategies to efficiently integrate highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions involving cloud and on-premises systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Manage and support complex storage solutions deployed across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Administer the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual server environments and networking systems.
- Ensure optimal performance of systems, including uptime, speed, and resource utilization.
- Automate routine infrastructure processes through scripting and tools like Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software development, cybersecurity, and IT operations.
- Develop training programs to keep team members updated with the latest technologies.
- Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond proactively to incidents.
- Utilize tools for infrastructure monitoring and analytics to identify potential issues before they impact users.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency, balancing performance with budget constraints.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to think ahead and align infrastructure goals with the organization's vision.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of systems, networks, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Leadership: Proven capability to manage and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of backup applications such as Commvault, Veeam, and data storage appliances (E.g. NetApp, EMC)
- Strong knowledge of the latest network technologies solutions for on-prem and hybrid/public cloud. E.g. VMware, Arista and Cisco Route/Switch, Fortinet, Aryaka SD-WAN, Juniper Mist Wireless, Azure solutions
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, Tines, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Certifications such as CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Expert are highly desirable.
