- Analyze Current Revenue Cycle Workflows within the hospital, particularly within the Epic system modules including HB (Hospital Billing), ADT (Admissions, Discharges, Transfers), Grand Central, and Prelude.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement in revenue cycle workflows.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Revenue Cycle team members, IT personnel, Consultants, and end-users, to grasp workflow intricacies and implement workflow & system enhancements.
- Work closely with Epic Consultants to ensure build updates are accurately and efficiently implemented.
- Attend various Governance Committee meetings to keep up to date with Epic changes across the Montefiore Health System.
- Develop detailed workflow documents, tip sheets, and training aids to facilitate smoother revenue cycle operations.
- Participate actively in the testing and validation of workflow modifications and system upgrades.
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions and support to end-users on new workflows, system changes, and best practices.
- Keep up to date with latest industry trends and identify system innovation capabilities accordingly.
- Monitor and evaluate the efficacy of implemented workflow improvements, refining strategies as necessary.
- Serve as the go-to resource for revenue cycle workflows and Epic system functionality, offering guidance and support to internal stakeholders as required.
- Propose innovative solutions and work closely with the stakeholders to implement streamlined workflows.
- Conduct Epic new user training sessions and provide workflow re-education for existing staff as needed, ensuring adherence to best practices and system optimizations.
- Assist with troubleshooting and addressing system related issues and workflow challenges.
- Propose system changes to address identified issues.
- Provide timely support and resolutions to ensure minimum disruption to revenue cycle operations.
- Ensure training documentation and resources are up to date and easily accessible to assist users in performing their tasks effectively.
- Communicate information clearly, both verbally and written, promoting active engagement and collaboration among trainees.
- Perform regular audits to identify areas of opportunity and re-education.
- Responsible to participate in committees, task forces, and projects as appropriate.
- Responsible for compliance with hospital and human resources policies and procedures, competency, and education requirements are satisfied as per hospital policy.
- Ensures the provision of a safe employee/patient environment.
- Works collaboratively with all levels of hospital interdisciplinary team and promotes team concept within their department and hospital wide.
- Demonstrates positive customer service, fosters positive employee relations, and assures that staff adheres to the customer Service Behavioral Standards/
- Is supportive to hospital initiatives and projects and functions as a positive change agent.
- Promotes a positive and professional image and is a role model, coach mentor, and resource for staff and peers.
- Reports to the Sr. Manager of Training & Innovation.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of revenue cycle management within a hospital setting or healthcare setting.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrating strong analytical skills with knowledge of revenue cycle processes and training.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes and workflows, particularly within the Epic system.
- Proficiency in Epic modules including HB, ADT, Grand Central, and Prelude preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, and Outlook required.
- 3 years of demonstrating strong analytical skills with knowledge of revenue cycle processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Epic modules including HB, ADT, Grand Central, and Prelude. Certification or Credentialed trainer experience preferred.
- Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
- Must be able to attend meetings in other locations across the campus.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking.
