
RBI Engineer

- Develop and implement RBI methodology documents tailored to client and regulatory requirements.
- Identify corrosion loops and mark up inspection circuits.
- Analyze fixed equipment data and populate IDMS.
- Participate in damage mechanism assessments.
- Perform risk assessments, including probability and consequence analyses.
- Develop inspection plans for fixed equipment.
- Collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality RBI project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (metallurgy, materials, mechanical, or chemical).
- 3-5 years of directly related experience in fixed equipment in oil and gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries.
- Familiarity with RBI implementation using API RP 580 and API RP 581, and damage mechanism assessments using API RP 571.
- Fundamental knowledge of fixed equipment, e.g., pressure vessels and piping, and their key documents, e.g., process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
- API RP 580 or API RP 571 certification (or working toward certification).
- Proficiency in at least one RBI software tool like PCMS, GE APM/Meridium, Visions, and Antea.
- Experience with at least Level I and II fitness-for-service (FFS) assessments (API 579-1).
- Familiarity with conventional and advanced NDT methods (e.g., UT, PAUT, LRUT, PT, MT, RT).
