
Entry Level Traffic Engineer

- Working within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects
- Performing intersection and corridor operational analyses using Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, and other analysis tools
- Analyzing, developing, and evaluating of traffic improvements
- Developing conceptual intersection/roadway improvement design and traffic signal design plans in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Developing traffic management and signal timing plans
- Preparing written documents, summarizing data and analysis, and assembling reports to convey findings and recommendations
- Collecting and tabulating traffic data
- Conducting field traffic safety assessments
- Understanding of transportation engineering principles
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Detail Oriented
- Self-motivated
- Ability to learn, think critically, and develop new skills
- Excel in working in a team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0 to 1 years of transportation experience, preferably related to traffic or safety
- Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, VISSIM, TransModeler and/or other capacity software a plus
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and/or other planning/design/data software a plus
- EIT Designation is a plus
