
Assistant Project Manager – Data Center Construction

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, procurement, operations) and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support the Project Manager in managing project governance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
- Track project costs, manage change orders, and support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
- Liaise with the client's finance team to review and report financial data.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in site walks, punch list management, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- Prepare and contribute to monthly reports, executive dashboards, and project status updates.
- Transcribe meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and project observation reports.
- Assist with procurement of suppliers and resources.
- Support the transition of close-out documentation to operations.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- 3+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in project management roles.
- Experience with data center, mission critical, high-tech or relatable construction projects is highly desirable.
- Field experience or field engineer experience is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Procore, and other construction project management tools.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time.
