Different focus areas are available based on applicant’s abilities. Duties could include following list.
- Assist in 3D printing experiments including model creation, paste preparation and printing
- Assist in visual design work
- Coat and test sample coupons (labeling, cleaning, surface preparation, coating, etc.)
- Clean, calibrate and maintain equipment
- Design and build simple website
- Document and perform various experiments
- Calibrate balances (under supervision)
- Assist in the crating and storing of laboratory equipment
- Clean indoor and outdoor storage areas
- Organize parts inventory and labeling
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience with modeling tools (e.g. SysML, MATLAB)
- Experience with 3D printing
- Familiarity with MS Office
- Knowledge of website production and maintenance
- Familiarity with laboratory scale operation
- Experience with tools (auto maintenance, woodworking, etc.)
- Experience with arts and crafts (pottery, weaving, etc.)
- Current sophomores in high school (10th graders) through current seniors in high school (12th graders), including those who will begin their full-time college undergraduate studies in fall 2024.
- Ability to work in-person every day during the summer at TDA’s facilities in Golden, Colorado. Students must be prepared to commute every day from their summer place of residence to TDA’s Golden site for in-person work. No remote or hybrid option available.
