Onsite- Stafford, VA**This is not a Security Guard Position**The duty of this position is Assistant Facility Security Officer. The AFSO will function under the oversite of the Facility Security Officer, FSO. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the cleared facility, the Department of Defense (DoD). The AFSO will be familiar with the National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM Rule). The AFSO may be required to supervise department activities in the absence of FSO to achieve security requirements and continuity of team productivity. They will coordinate and monitor sensitive aspects of the Company’s industrial security program, ensuring compliance with Government and Company security policies and procedures. They will ensure facility accreditation is maintained.Duties and responsibilities
- Initiating, reviewing, and processing Personnel Security Clearances and Periodic Reinvestigations
- Submit CSR in DISS
- Schedule appointments, coordinate special access briefings and debriefing requests
- Follows NISPOM guidance
- Assist with guiding and training employees on security policies
- Assist with development of DD-254s
- Manage classified meetings
- Participates in internal and external security reviews and performs self-assessment inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations.
- Document control of classified information
- Classified container combination change
- Other duties as assigned
- DISS, NBIS, and NISS experience required
- Experience with preparing and maintaining DD-254s desired
- Completed DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities desired
- Understanding of National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM) requirements desired
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with integrity required
- Good written and oral communications skills required
