- Evaluate and maintain mechanical and control systems to ensure optimal facility performance.
- Read and interpret controls diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial heating and cooling equipment, including chillers, boilers, split systems, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units, and fans.
- Troubleshoot and operate software tools such as Trane TechView, Trane Rover, Trane Tracer TU, Carrier Service Tool, Carrier CCN, and Watt Master Prism.
- Maintain and troubleshoot air flow, air distribution, building pressure, VAV systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Coordinate with subcontractors and procure project materials as needed.
- Mentor and support the development of junior technicians and helpers.
- Review timesheets and complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Promote and adhere to safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
- Participate in crane lift and rigging operations as required.
- Consistently strive for high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
- Experience with large-scale equipment, including chillers, boilers, and rooftop units (RTUs) over 25 tons.
- Proficiency with Trane, Carrier, AAON, Leibert, Daikin/McQuay, and York systems.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and outside air units (OAUs).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use diagnostic software.
- Strong work ethic, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness, coordination, and ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
- Willingness to work overtime and on-call hours as needed.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to mentor others.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
