CooperDouglas is partnering with a publicly traded national distributor for a Senior Tax Analyst to strengthen its corporate tax function. This role is responsible for sales and use tax compliance across multiple states and will serve as a key liaison between the corporate tax team and local business units. In this highly visibleResponsibilities:Complete and/or review the accuracy and timely filing of multi-state sales/use tax returns per statutory requirements.Provide assistance in preparation and review of quarterly and year-end tax provision, including calculations of key inputs, preparation of reports and schedules, tracking of discrete items, and return to provision true ups.Prepare and/or review tax payments and reconciliation of tax bills and GL accounts.Participates in identifying and analyzing development and enhancement opportunities for corporate systems used to meet sales/use and property tax reporting requirements.Serve as the internal point of contact for compiling data and providing assistance to third-party preparers of personal property tax filings.Track and review business license renewals and verify compliance with annual report obligations.Support the development of annual tax budgets by providing estimates and insights related to sales and property taxes.Coordinate and respond to sales and use tax audits in partnership with leadership and external advisors.Maintain exemption and resale certificate compliance.Research changes in state and local tax law and advise on business impact.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and use tax. * Nexus analysis is highly desiredPublic Accounting experience a huge plusAdvanced Excel skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.OneStream knowledge desirable.Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.Hybrid: Chicago, ILCompensation based on experience, up to $100,000 + bonus!
