- Collaborating with and learning from senior members of the firm to learn about the industries and clients we serve.
- Listening to the client’s needs and working with other members of the firm to develop solutions to meet their needs.
- Rallying with the project team, keeping on track, and helping drive projects to completion. Communication with team members is essential in keeping things moving.
- Managing projects and working with clients to help them develop or maintain IH and Safety compliance programs.
- Working with senior staff to build relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through excellent project work.
- Performing technical and field work and supporting project deliverables on safety and industrial hygiene-related projects, including but not limited to:
- Safety program development and review
- Machine guarding assessments
- Energy control procedure development
- Process safety management (PSM) and risk management planning program (RMP) development and program auditing, and process hazard analysis (PHA).
- Developing and conducting safety training to include: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, Hazardous waste and emergency response (HAZWOPER),
- Facility auditing and inspections, regulatory and third-party (ISO, ANSI, etc.) standards
- Employee exposure assessments
- Noise dosimetry and sounds pressure level surveys
- Industrial hygiene exposure assessments for a variety of industries including aerospace, manufacturing, and oil & gas.
- Indoor air quality assessments (mold, VOCs, CO, CO2, etc.)
- Ventilation studies
- Various assessments including PPE, LOTO, confined spaces, heat stress, cold stress, etc.
- Bonus: experience with project management, stormwater, wastewater, industrial waste compliance support.
- BS degree or higher in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health/Safety, Safety or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO), Safety, Health, & Environmental Professional (SHEP) or Specialist in Safety & Health (SSH) preferred
- 5-8 years of direct safety compliance and/or industrial hygiene experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidance as they apply to industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
- Detail-oriented, motivated, analytical thinker, problem solver with a driven work ethic.
- Excellent technical writing, public speaking, communication and critical thinking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
