This position reports to the Associate Director, Operations & Business Office.Job Responsibilities:Coordinates the human resource function for OCE, including all required HRM forms for all personnel actions. The high volume and diversity of OCE programs requires significant coordination between OCE staff, campus departments, and HRM. This position serves as the liaison for HRM and has the Originator role to assist with initiating certain actions which include hiring, promotion, transfer, cross-charges, change of source of funds (including grants), ad comp, and separation forms, for all OCE staff, student workers, and instructors. 30%Acts as the liaison to Human Resources for OCE, communicating university policies and guidelines to staff as appropriate. Investigates and responds to any inquiries pertaining to human resource actions or statuses. Resolves problems or complications that may arise. Processes weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll for instructors and staff, including 20 weekly lump sum payroll transactions and 120 monthly instructor payroll transactions. Tracks instructors lessons to determine payment amount. Maintain annual instructor payment information. Audits pay monthly. 30%Responsible for all leave tracking, adjustments, and reports for Online & Continuing Education staff. Manages the leave certification process, ensuring all staff members comply with requirements.Maintains personnel files for all staff. Responsible for coordinating required human resource-related training. Maintains and distributes staff contact information and broadcast email lists. 20%Provides daily administrative and operational support to the entire OCE Team by organizing and assisting with day-to-day operational activities to boost efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities include assisting in the upkeep of facility operations, updating seating charts, organizational charts, telecommunication lists, and overseeing the management of shared office supplies. 15%Other duties as assigned. 5%Additional Requirements:Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeDegree substitute: LSU is committed to creating an inclusive space where our employees feel valued for their skills and uniqueness.
