  • Identify, define, and track operating conditions including equipment planned downtime, actual downtime, run time and equipment efficiency.
  • Lead and/or support a facility of approximately 88 employees on a split shift operation. Focus on driving improvements in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Assist in the start-up of equipment, to include updating safety documentation, technical documentation and updating / coordinating the training of employees.
  • Support opportunities in the testing and development of new materials and equipment with the Supply Chain Team, Global Purchasing Team, and Marketing Teams.
  • Communicate regularly with the Plant mgt. and process engineers and other plants, sharing combined knowledge and information.
  • Drive a culture of urgency and maintain an informed position regarding plant equipment status.
  • Responsible for investigating reliability issues and performing root cause analysis on significant failures.
  • Ability to work scheduled work overtime including week ends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Organization Relationships:
  • Will work closely with engineers, technicians, production and maintenance employees to coordinate projects.
  • Continuous contact Plant staff, supervision, Quality Control, EHS, Engineering and Accounting.
  • Contact with other domestic and global locations.
  • Work with Process Engineering and R&D on new product development, process development, and Quality improvement projects.
External Business Relationships:
  • Contact equipment vendors as needed
Job RequirementsQualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a proactive maintenance environment.
  • electrical skills (AC DC circuitry)
  • Planning and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems
  • Oral & written communication skills, with computer proficiency in Excel.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering layouts and schematics.
