Primary Objectives of the Position:
Join our client as a key member of their Estate Planning, Trust, and Charitable departments, providing expert legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients on sophisticated estate planning strategies. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external counsel to implement estate planning decisions, review contracts, and deliver exemplary legal support integral to client success.Key Outcomes You Will Deliver:
1. Serve as a productive and trusted advisor in estate and charitable planning, providing legal support to Estate Planning and Trust Departments, Financial Managers, and Client Advisors. Lead by example managing priorities, deadlines, and direct reports.
2. Foster collaboration across all organizational departments and external partners to achieve client goals through clear communication, effective problem-solving, impeccable service quality, and timely execution.
3. Consistently deliver unparalleled client service that strengthens satisfaction and upholds Employment Group’s commitment to excellence.Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct meticulous review of estate planning instruments to ensure alignment with client objectives; counsel clients on strategies and coordinate implementation with outside counsel.
- Lead and supervise a team providing expertise in estate, trust, and charitable planning.
- Engage in comprehensive legal research relevant to estate planning, administration, and trust matters. Provide expert consultation across departments.
- Review contracts thoroughly, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Manage successor trustee appointments by examining trust directives and preparing necessary legal documents.
- Coordinate legal oversight in asset re-titling, account funding, terminations, and transfers.
- Act as a nexus among legal, trust, charitable, tax, operations, and client service units to streamline processes and project execution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws impacting estate and charitable planning.
- Lead integration of trust and estate functions into evolving technological frameworks within our client.

- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Current and active license to practice law in the State of Washington.
- Minimum five years’ experience practicing estate planning law at a reputable law firm; experience in charitable planning and trusts strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary range: $200,000 - $245,000 plus performance-based bonus.
