Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include operation of a newer model application equipment, delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance and fertilizer blending.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product application, calibrating application equipment, application equipment maintenance, and cleaning and storing application equipment
- Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
- General plant equipment maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading product deliveries and warehouse/inventory responsibilities
- Misc. duties such as special projects, attending provided trainings, providing back-up when/where needed
- Promote and live the Simplot brand to our customers, employees and community as the best-in-class Agricultural distributor. Responsible for accurate, timely, and safe product deliveries and where applicable, product application.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)EXPERIENCE:
- Two plus years related experience and/or training.
- Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation preferred
- Knowledge of the local geography/roads/farms and ability to develop trust with management that moderate to heavy traffic can be negotiated effectively.
- Ability to assist in equipment rebuilds
- Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment
- Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment
- Ability to set up and calibrate injection equipment is a plus
- Basic knowledge in the areas of mechanical, electrical welding and metal fabrication are a plus
- Pesticide Applicator License.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsement to drive a ten wheeler and trailer with air brakes on the highway; generally referred to as a Class A;
- HazMat Endorsement
- Tanker Endorsement
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ag-Industry Hours - Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands.
