Position: Data Center Oversight SETA
Position Type: Full-time Onsite
Position Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with CI PolyWaypoint’s client is seeking a Data Center Oversight SETA to support a government customer with the oversight of a data center support services contract. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise on local site requirements, deliver continuity of effort, and advise government customers on activities at both local and remote sites. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, flexibility in task execution, and the ability to provide strategic, value-added recommendations.Responsibilities
  • Provide recommendations and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate customer-focused IT infrastructure provisioning.
  • Oversee the planning, allocation, and utilization of Power, Space, and Cooling (P/S/C) resources.
  • Review, provide feedback, and assist in implementing enterprise data center directives, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and manage site-level P/S/C metrics and ensure accurate distribution to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with Acquisition Offices and system owners to facilitate requirements analysis.
  • Review and comment on Requests for Changes (RFCs) that impact P/S/C resources and communicate the effects to stakeholders.
  • Support the development and documentation of data center project funding requests.
  • Assist with planning and execution of data center renovation and upgrade activities.
  • Provide written and oral project-level briefings to stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning for future expansion, Task Order development, and modernization of data centers.
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related field and 9+ years of experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in a STEM or related field and 7+ years of experience, OR
  • 10+ years of data center management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • One or more of the following certifications or skills:
  • Data Center Facilities Management
  • Data Center Technician Professional (DCTP)
  • Data Center Design Professional (DCDP)
  • Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP)
  • Certified Data Center Professional (e.g., BICSI)
Desired
  • Experience as a data center manager within HSG/DMD highly desired.
