The job of the tutor is to meet individually with students enrolled in courses in which the tutor has demonstrated mastery of knowledge and provide explanation/clarity on subject material, insight, guidance, coaching and academic success strategies. Tutors must participate in a mandatory tutor training the week before classes begin and in occasional tutor nights that will be scheduled throughout the academic year.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet individually with students enrolled in courses that seek tutoring services
- Be able to work evenings, as needed
- Must be a currently enrolled, full-time WAU student
- Must obtain the recommendation of the chair of the department under which the course(s) for which he/she tutors falls
