Join our Rotary Wing Platform Systems Team within the Military Avionics Cargo Systems group at Collins Aerospace. Here, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing avionics for CTES programs. This dynamic position offers flexibility to push the boundaries of technology, enhancing the capabilities of US Army CH-47F aircraft platforms. This role requires a highly motivated person to help lead the charge for the CTES program.What You Will Do:
  • You will perform design, requirements, validation, & verification tasks for CH-47F cockpit avionics for the CTES program.
  • You will perform Platform Systems specific on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
  • You will support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams for different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) builds.
  • You will have the potential opportunity to see your work in action by assisting in flight test events at customer facilities.
  • You will perform your tasks using various engineering tools including TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft, SVN and others.
  • You will perform investigations of the Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment; including integration investigations of the interfaces for Collin Aerospace equipment and government furnished equipment in the lab.
  • Travel (domestic-US, and possible International) is possible of this position, estimating
10% of the year.What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance if needed.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) experience.
  • Avionics experience.
  • Experience (military or civil aircraft) in avionics systems, specifically testing and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429)
  • Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and/or Microsoft Office Suite is desired.
  • Organizational skills including associated documentation.
  • Research test requirements and prepare test plans and procedures.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
