
Phlebotomy Supervisor - Lima

- Upholds all Sonic Core Values and ensures compliance with company policies and mandatory training.
- Oversees daily operations in assigned territory, including specimen collection, processing, transport, and new account setups.
- Maintains staffing levels, creates and manages work schedules, and provides phlebotomy coverage as needed.
- Manages all aspects of HR functions: hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, performance management, and reviews.
- Handles payroll operations, including timecard monitoring, PTO review, and timely payroll submission.
- Participates in the Quality Management program, submitting reports and addressing errors in specimen handling and data entry.
- Conducts routine audits at all locations to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Coordinates building maintenance and repairs, working directly with contractors as needed.
- Collaborates with the sales team to support client retention and business growth.
- Attends monthly and scheduled meetings at the Toledo main office.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma
- 5+ year’s phlebotomy experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Required: Phlebotomy Certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently, be attentive to detail, and provide quality work
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, physicians, vendors, clients, and external agencies
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology related to blood collection
- Ability to operate medical tools and equipment in carrying out phlebotomy procedures
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of employee, patient, client, and company information at all times
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws: federal and state regulations, including CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Safety, and OSHA Regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
