- Preparing and/or managing the technical analysis & design for transportation, municipal, and private-sector hydrologic and hydraulic flood and drainage studies
- Preparing and/or managing the technical analysis & design for a variety of public & private drainage projects, including stormwater detention/retention facilities, storm drainage systems, cross-drainage culverts, bridges, stormwater pumping stations, and bank stabilization improvements
- Preparing and/or managing the preparation of proposals, design plans, calculation tables, reports, opinions of probable cost, construction specifications, and contract documents
- Establishing strong communication and collaborative working relationships with team members & clients
- Organizing & scheduling your own work, and directing the work of other team members in order to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules
- Effectively coordinating & collaborating with technical experts, other engineering design teams, and sub-consultants
- Establishing strong client relationships and communication
- Maintaining strong overall financial performance
- Guiding the work of Civil Engineers & CAD Designers
- Assisting in the technical training and development of young Civil Engineers
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Licensure as a Texas Professional Engineer (Civil) or ability to obtain State of Texas P.E. licensure within one (1) year
- Responsive and results-oriented in service to clients and the design team
- A minimum of 5 years (5-15 years) of stormwater H&H modeling experience
- Proficiency using Microstation, Geopak, and OpenRoads preferred
- Proficiency using GIS (ESRI ArcMap)
- Proficiency using HEC-HMS & HEC-RAS modeling software
- Proficiency with XP-SWMM or other 2D modeling applications preferred
- Strong commitment to professional development
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to organize, manage & complete multiple tasks and assignments in a schedule-sensitive environment
- Ability to manage & meet client expectations
- Ability to lead the analysis and design of stormwater and hydraulic engineering projects, including preparation of studies and plans
