Our team is dedicated to finding the best candidates for our clients, and we are currently seeking an experienced SBA Underwriter with a focus on Franchise Lending to join our client's team.Position Overview:As an SBA Underwriter/ Franchise Focused, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting SBA loans for franchise businesses. You will work closely with franchisees, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure loans are processed efficiently and in compliance with SBA regulations. This is a FAST PACED TEAM, with a dedicated Franchise Group, and you must have experience in making prompt credit decisions meeting SBA SOP Guidelines!Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documents to determine creditworthiness and eligibility for SBA loans- Conduct thorough risk assessments and make sound underwriting decisions in accordance with SBA guidelines and company policies- Communicate with franchisees, franchisor, and other parties involved in the loan process to gather necessary information and resolve any issues that may arise- Prepare and present loan packages for approval to the SBA- Monitor and track loan performance, identify potential risks, and make recommendations for loan modifications or restructuring when necessary- Stay updated on SBA SOP policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk- Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve efficiencyQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SBA underwriting, with a focus on franchise lending- Strong knowledge of SBA SOP and loan programs- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programsBenefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package- Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company- Supportive and collaborative work environmentI
