Software Engineering Intern

• Full-stack, Frontend: You will create user interfaces that transform data from millions of devices into intuitive, actionable insights. Working closely with our design and product teams, you'll identify and rapidly iterate on solutions. Your projects could range from developing design systems to performance engineering, all with the goal of delivering high-quality, impactful features to our customers.
• Full-stack, Backend: You will design and develop features across a wide range of our platform, directly impacting both current and future customers. You'll tackle diverse engineering challenges, from architecting data structures for massive data collection to building intuitive and high-performing data analytics on web and mobile platforms.
• Mobile Infrastructure: You will work on the critical infrastructure that supports our React Native application. Your contributions will empower feature teams to iterate quickly and write performant, maintainable code, helping us deliver a seamless mobile experience to our users.
• Embedded Software: You will design, develop, and maintain all on-device software for Samsara's hardware products. This includes everything from edge AI models and multimedia frameworks to low-level power management and real-time data processing, building software that runs reliably in tough, real-world conditions. This role involves collaborating with backend, ML, and hardware engineers to create seamless device-to-cloud experiences. Your work will directly drive innovation across Samsara's IoT ecosystem.

• You will complete a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science between Spring/Summer/Fall 2027 or Winter 2028.
• This internship can be a remote or in-person hybrid requiring 3 days per week in our San Francisco, CA office and 2 days working remotely.

You're proficient in at least one of the following areas: Backend, Infrastructure, Fullstack, Frontend, or Mobile Infrastructure. We're especially interested in experience with Golang, Python, Node.js, Typescript, and React.
