In this high-impact role, you'll produce accurate, multidiscipline estimates, identify project risks, and support pricing strategies that win business and drive operational success. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of professionals while helping shape and refine best-in-class estimating practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed mechanical estimates from concept through completion for complex field and fabrication scopesCollaborate with procurement, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather cost data and resolve estimate detailsManage centralized cost estimating databases and implement historical data for pricing consistencyAnalyze completed projects and cost trends to identify gaps and optimize future estimating approachesLead strategy sessions and schedule management for estimation deliverablesReview and validate scopes of work, subcontractor quotes, labor units, and project schedulesPresent finalized estimates to internal leadership and external clientsOversee estimate handoff to project execution teams, ensuring a seamless transitionSupport continuous improvement efforts and lead QA/QC reviews for accuracyMentor junior estimators and contribute to cross-functional team developmentEnsure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and safety regulationsRequired Qualifications7+ years of mechanical estimating experience in industrial construction (residential/commercial experience will not be considered)Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)Expert-level Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, data models, and advanced formulasHands-on experience with:InEightAccubid AnywhereBluebeam Revu ExtremeNavisworks FreedomSharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, OneNoteStrong knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, and cost control systemsExcellent communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, both independently and in teamsWhy Join Us?At PDS Tech Commercial, you'll be empowered to lead mission-critical projects that shape the future of industrial construction.
