Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.ResponsibilitiesAscension Sacred Heart is looking for a Thoracic Surgery APP (will accept NP & PA applicants) in Pensacola, FL.This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in surgical first assist to join our thoracic surgery team!Position Highlights:
  • Join an established health system in the area.
  • Work alongside other experienced providers.
  • Live along the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast.
  • Surgical experience is required (EVH skillset is preferred)
Responsibilities:
  • Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
  • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
  • Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
RequirementsLicensure/Certification/Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or National Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner (NP) license required.
Education:
  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
