The Information Technology Specialist 4 (Agency Experience and Product Infrastructure) position will be responsible for overseeing the relationship the client agency has with the dedicated team and managing service providing teams, including business analysis, product and project management, workplace services, asset management and procurement. This role is responsible for interfacing with agency stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and ensuring ITS services are aligned to effectively support their mission. The goal is to provide quality products and services and requires a strong understanding of ITS policies, excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Oversees the delivery of product and service management, business analysis, project management, procurement and workplace services teams to DOB and Chamber. Manages staff assigned to products and verifies strong work output in line with the needs of DOB and Chamber.
- Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within the Division of the Budget and Chamber.
- Ensures agency questions and requests are handled in a timely and professional manner. Assesses and implements plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of teams to deliver services.
- Works well with all dedicated team staff and collaborates with technical staff to devise and implement plans to bring products to fruition that will satisfy the client agency, while also abiding by ITS policies and procedures.
- Observes the secure system development lifecycle and involves dedicated team partners to ensure systems are implemented using the most up to date strategies and can be supported in the long term.
- Regularly facilitates meetings to review service performance, discuss upcoming initiatives, devise plans for new and remediated products, and holds team accountable for executing plans.
- Manage procurement processes by ensuring that documentation is complete and submitted with ample time to secure purchases that do not result in a lapse in services or operations. Track all recurring purchases.
- Advocates for client agency needs within ITS to ensure concerns are addressed.
- Supervise and mentor management staff providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with workplace services manager to improve customer service and ensure 24x7 coverage, coverage for blackout seasons, and change testing.
- Stay up-to-date on ITS policies, procedures, and best practices. Network and collaborate with colleagues outside of the dedicated team for insight and advice as to their procedures.
- Supervise and mentor staff.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, by ITS Management.
