- Oversee budgets, financial plans, control expenditure and records.
- Assist in preparing and carryout of annual crop and livestock management plan.
- Provide assistance in the development and carryout of an enterprise commodity marketing plan.
- Monitors and assist with daily production tasks.
- Responsible for governmental program compliance and documentation.
- Responsible for daily work schedule staffing. Weekday and weekends included.
- Responsible for equipment inventory including purchasing / leasing of new equipment.
- Collaboration with faculty, administration and industry on overall mission of agricultural enterprise to meet curricular needs of programs served.
- Address problems and troubleshoot.
- Handle public relations with neighbors and city in regards to farm operations in and near city limits.
- Secures necessary inputs for the operation.
- Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of crop quality in field and in storage.
- Supervise non-faculty staff.
- Responsible for safety in regards to equipment, livestock and facility usage, condition, operation, and process.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment and collaborate with others in setting goals and problem solving.
- Be able and willing to represent the college in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, staff, administrators, and the general public.

- Associates degree in agricultural related field.
- 3 years agriculture production / management experience in crop and livestock production.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to earn Commercial Driver's License and Iowa Pesticide Applicators License within 1 year.
- Bachelor's degree in agricultural related field.
- Commercial Driver's License and Iowa Pesticide Applicators License
