- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of work experience in an office environment, preferably within higher education or a workforce/training/industrial environment.
- Three (3) years of demonstrated work experience with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Forms, Teams, and Adobe. Experience with Banner preferred.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, current and prospective students, community members, and industry partners.
- Strong initiative and follow-through in identifying answers, coordinating with others, and driving solutions forward.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be capable of sitting in a stationary position for 50% or more of work day.
- Serve as the central point of contact for prospective students, current participants, and industry partners involved with EMPWR LA.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for EMPWR LA, including scheduling, purchasing, data entry, and reporting.
- Coordinate day-to-day program operations and logistics, including classroom setup, credential exam scheduling, and student materials.
- Maintain accurate student records, track credential completion, and support efforts to measure and report program outcomes.
- Actively participate in recruitment and outreach, including job fairs, school visits, community events, workforce board presentations, and promotional campaigns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, community partners, and internal stakeholders to promote program visibility and impact.
- Support marketing and communication efforts in collaboration with BPCC's Office of Marketing & Communication.
- Assist with the planning and execution of EMPWR-related events, such as open houses, graduations, advisory boards, and industry panels.
- Assist with recruiting activities both on campus and off campus, if needed.
- Track inquiries, applicants, and enrollments based on recruitment activities as it relates to the Division's programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate purchasing of materials and supplies in compliance with grant guidelines.
- Participate in registration and pre-registration.
- Assist with verification, accuracy, and submission of materials for webpages, catalog revisions, course descriptions, program updates, and materials on new degrees.
- Participate in professional development activities and campus meetings.
- Assist in coordinating student events, advisory committee meetings, and accreditation site visits.
- Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and College departments to support instructional quality, industry alignment, and student success.
- Assist students with program inquiries, registration, credential exam prep, and general support services.
- Prepares purchase requisitions, for Division needs including classroom supplies, teaching materials, and verify requisitioned items on budget.
- Maintain and monitor receipt and payment of professional services expenditures including accreditation testing, reporting fees, etc.
- Purchase needed certifications for students, faculty, and staff as needed.
- Attend meetings, as needed, to coordinate large-scale projects and to ensure Division compliance with project requirements.
- Processes, corrects, and edits complex word processing documents including, but not limited to, curriculum sheets, certificates, schedules, publications, grant applications, and accreditation reports.
- Ensure adjunct faculty have access to campus email and perform password resets when needed.
- Create contracts and enter courses into Banner.
- Participate in professional development, division meetings, and college-wide events as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean or program leadership.
