Our mission at Avets is to provide state of the art medicine and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.We are looking for full-time Emergency Veterinary Technician Caregivers to join our team on overnights. If you’re looking to advance your skill set and work in a fast-paced environment where every day looks different, we want to work with you!Avets operates as a whole hospital team, offering opportunities to train and work with both specialty and emergency veterinarians. We pair new hires with a mentor to guide them through their introductory period. This is a full-time, hourly position, working either 3 twelve hour shifts or 4 ten hour shifts per week, inclusive of one shift per weekend and a portion of the holidays.Compensation:
  • Base pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed further during the interview!
  • We offer generous shift differentials:
  • $4/hr from 7pm-7am on all nights of the week
  • $2.50/hr weekend shift differential (12am on Friday night/Saturday morning through 12am on Sunday night/Monday morning)

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Follow a structured training program.
  • Remain calm and efficient in a high stress environment; be adaptable and overcome challenging situations!
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets' mission to provide state of the art medicine and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.
  • Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive and respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty five pounds.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
Prior emergency experience preferred, but not required. Certified Veterinary Technicians or license eligible candidates will be given the highest consideration.Benefits:
