Req ID: 25722Job ResponsibilitiesLincoln Electric’s Customer Solutions & Technical Sales Internship Program is an excellent opportunity to gain real world technical sales experience in one of our U.S. regional offices. You will receive training and a sales mentor for the duration of your program, interacting with end users of our products, as well as our industrial distributor partners. You will spend time working with the region’s Technical Sales Representatives (TSR) and Regional Manager, as well as managing and driving individual projects. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be considered for a future internship or full-time employment, depending on your expected graduation date.
- This internship is an outstanding entry point to a vast array of opportunities within Lincoln Electric. Your experience with customer interaction, problem solving, and solution selling puts you in position to follow any number of career paths, including sales management, product management, marketing and communications—in addition to core engineering-related opportunities.
- Participate in a one-week training program at our world headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio on specific products and sales programs. Continue training in the regional sales office, as needed throughout your internship period.
- Develop an understanding of arc welding products, solutions, and safety.
- Work alongside each of the region’s TSRs visiting end users and distributors. Identify the key sales issues they encounter and how they are managed. Provide assistance as needed.
- Drive two to three key sales projects, as determined by the Regional Sales Manager as most effective for the region.
- At the end of your internship period, develop and deliver a presentation to the Regional Sales Manager about your experiences during the internship and the overall success of your key sales projects.
- Currently enrolled in a 4 year college program. Disciplines may include STEM, business administration, marketing or any related course of study.
- Sophomore status or higher with an interest in applying academic learning to sales, technical/field service, and end user support.
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product management, sales and other colleagues within the business.
