The Alaska SeaLife Center, located in Seward, Alaska, is recruiting RVers for the 2024 season. RV camping spaces come with full hook-ups and a million dollar view of Resurrection Bay mere steps from our front door.RV volunteers can fill any of the following positions:
  • Greeters are an important part of the Visitor Experience Team at the Center. Greeters welcome our guests to the Center by giving them an overview of our exhibits and answering various questions about the Center. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with public speaking, enjoys interacting with others, will ensure excellent and memorable experiences for our guests, and has an enthusiasm for the Center and its mission.
  • Ticketing is responsible for Front of House Reservations and Ticketing functions, Customer Service and Sales of all admission, tours, encounters, as well as visitor information capture and completion of the annual Visitor Survey. We are looking for someone who enjoys customer service.
  • Interpretation will assist with directions and answer guest questions as they tour the Center. May give informal talks and programs about various animals. Potentially lead Behind the Scene programs. We are looking for someone who loves to communicate with a diverse group of people of all ages.
  • Grounds will help to maintain the professional appearance of the Center and grounds by cleaning, mowing, raking, edging, weeding and trimming. We are looking for someone who is interested in working outdoors and not afraid to get dirty.
  • Custodial will be responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the building and grounds at the Alaska SeaLife Center. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail and loads of initiative.
Before volunteering you will participate in training and receive additional information about this position.Applicants must be able to provide their own camping unit. An RV site will be provided on the shores of beautiful Resurrection Bay in the RV parking lot for the Alaska SeaLife Center and includes water, electricity, and sewer. In exchange, the Center asks for a minimum of 20 hours of volunteering per week per adult. Preference will be given to those who can commit to staying for the entire or most of the summer season. Our summer season runs from mid-May to mid-September.
