- Residency Program is 4 months in length.
- Classes, led by the Clinical Educators, provide in-depth learning on various mental health topics such as psychopharmacology and various diagnoses
- Program provides individual support, training on leadership skills and time management, and detailed information on safety measures when caring for patients with mental health
- Learning methods consist of discussion, scenario based simulation, real time skills practice, preceptorship, and electronic health record training
- Residents are trained so they can meet criteria for all inpatient nursing skills
- Participation in influenza vaccination clinics, skills fairs, and nurse-led patient education groups on topics such as medications, relaxation, wellness, and management of their illness
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse RN in Maryland or Multi-state Compact license required
