As a Client Payroll Implementation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to our payroll and enhanced services platform. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the setup phase, conducting detailed intake calls to understand their specific needs and maintaining consistent communication throughout the implementation journey. Your responsibilities will include building the company framework, preparing and converting data for entry, assisting clients with payroll input, and processing initial payrolls. You will also provide comprehensive training to ensure clients are confident in using the software and understand how the technology supports their operations.In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Enhanced Product Specialists to review and implement additional services selected by the client. You will be responsible for exporting or creating company and employee information, balancing conversion data against payroll reports and tax returns, and opening implementation cases related to tax, finance, and billing. As part of the onboarding process, you will maintain ongoing updates for existing clients, including earnings, deductions, memo calculations, and accruals. You will also support your colleagues by participating in quality assurance checks and contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.Beyond implementation, you will assist with various payroll department needs, including handling daily cases such as non-sufficient funds, direct deposit issues, and wire transfers. You will respond to client requests for reports, payroll changes, and tax notices, and help manage workers' compensation cases and employee accruals. Your role may also involve supporting Payroll Specialists and participating in special projects as needed.To succeed in this position, you should have at least one year of relevant experience in tax, financial services, payroll service bureaus, or industries such as construction, unions. Experience working with small to mid-sized organizations is preferred. A high school diploma is required, though an associate degree is desirable.This role demands strong decision-making skills, particularly in managing client implementations and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines. You should be detail-oriented, with a solid understanding of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent customer service and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work under time constraints and solve problems efficiently. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are key to maintaining effective client relationships and ensuring successful payroll processing. You must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team and be proactive in escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
