Sourcing SpecialistJob Description:We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, detail-oriented, strategic-thinking individual to join our Procurement team as a Sourcing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing commodity purchases and procurement activities related to sourcing commodities, other raw and packaging materials for our bakery operations.Key Responsibilities:-Researching, identifying, monitoring and evaluating suppliers for various commodities such as flour, sugar, butter, eggs, fats, etc.-Monitoring market trends and commodity prices to make informed purchasing decisions.-Negotiating contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.-Align sourcing activities and operations requirements by working closely with the sales and operating team to forecast ingredient needs to ensure appropriate contract terms and quantities for the business channel.-Collaborating with vendors to resolve any supply chain issues when applicable.-Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of materials.-Analyzing and optimizing commodities contract processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.-Keeping detailed records of contracts, contracted volume levels and vendor performance for reporting purposes.- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of quality ingredients, materials, and services which meet customer (internal and external) expectations.- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to optimize pricing and terms for new projects, request for pricing, solicitations, etc.- Execute on our supplier performance evaluations with a cross functional team from all our key departments.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and logistics teams, to perform our supplier performance evaluation in a timely manner.- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and related documentation.- Stay current trends in industry, regulations, and best practices in sourcing and procurement.- Other duties as assignedQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, related field or equivalent work experience.- Minimum of four years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in the food industry or industrial food manufacturing.-Minimum four years' experience using Excel, Word and Enterprise Resource Planning SoftwareRequirements:- Knowledge of market trends and pricing dynamics for food commodities.- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.-Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings initiatives.- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
