
Electrical Assembler

- Demonstrates the ability to read, interpret and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine components parts and assembly sequence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Performs a wide variety of electronic or electromechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, which may vary from sitting to standing, moving line to stationary, with very light to medium weight components
- Follows all quality, environmental, health and safety specification.
- Prepares all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing
- Proven ability to use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude for use of tools in productions operations
- Basic problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates the ability to perform a build using a connection list and schematic.
- Knowledge and ability to explain the criteria for cable drainage/service loops and damaged wire/hardware
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
- Inspects parts for imperfections and inspect, test and adjust completed units
- Identifies and report any faulty components or hazard during the assembly process
- Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
- Point to point wiring per work instruction, diagram schematics, short/continuity test, Hipot test, and test assembled parts to ensure functionality
- Abilities to stand for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping and stretching
- Assists assemblers in performing assembly tasks
- May assist in electrical work
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the switchgear manufacturing environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
- Proficient in Google suite, MS office or equivalent
- Abilities to read and interpret drawings
- Abilities to follow work instructions and procedures
- Works consistently under safety regulations
- Abilities to lift up to 60lb on an occasional basis
- Works overtime as required based on business needs
