- Lead a team of Information Architects and Content Developers.
- Edit and produce grammatically correct content.
- Lead and maintain website content strategy and governance.
- Develop website navigation and taxonomy, and implement testing after development, including development of a controlled vocabulary.
- Develop and analyze website content inventories; develop future state content models for websites, including tagging, metadata, and other content standards; and develop site taxonomy and controlled vocabularies.
- Collaborate with a team of user researchers, business analysts, and designers.
- Facilitate workshops and user testing and present work to stakeholders.
- Facilitate the ideation, prototyping, design, and implementation of new, innovative approaches to content delivery and user engagement.
- Contribute to efforts to define and analyze performance metrics that align to content strategy goals and organizational priorities.
- Ensure adherence to Section 508 and plain language standards.
- Review and edit scalable web content resources (templates and training materials) for use by our team and our customer as the web content mission space grows and evolves.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information science, English, journalism, or a related field is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in content management, library science or information architecture.
- Knowledge and understanding of the 4 main IA system components: organization systems, labeling systems, navigation systems, and searching systems.
- Expert in M.S. word and M.S. PowerPoint
- Experience in conducting card sorting and tree testing activities with stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate design decisions and present work to stakeholders.
- A meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to catch and resolve issues before they become problems.
- Significant experience creating, editing, and publishing dynamic web content, to include page banners, infographics.
- Experience drafting, publishing, and archiving written and visual content in a content management system (CMS)
- Experience analyzing and refining written content to meet section 508 accessibility, plain language, and organizational style guide standards.
- Experience creating content models and taxonomy vocabularies.
- Experience and a desire to lead others.
