- Plan, organize, and deliver Student and Family Programs including ScratchJr Afterschool, Family & Community Learning Nights, Summer Camps, Holiday Nights, and Game Quest events.
- Manage all program logistics including scheduling, partner communications, materials preparation, and on-site facilitation.
- Ensure curriculum materials and activities are engaging, culturally responsive, and aligned with KSPS PBS’s mission and educational goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for participating schools, libraries, and community partners.
- Track participation, collect feedback, and contribute to evaluation reports for internal use and grants.
- Plan and coordinate KSPS’s participation in select community tabling events to promote programs and resources.
- Develop and prepare interactive displays, PBS resources, and promotional materials for community events.
- Represent KSPS PBS professionally in public settings, engaging attendees and answering questions about programs.
- Maintain accurate program records, attendance data, and participant feedback.
- Order and manage program supplies to ensure readiness for events and activities.
- Assist with promotional efforts through social media, newsletters, and the KSPS website in collaboration with other staff.
- Ensure KSPS programs and outreach activities are welcoming and inclusive spaces for all participants.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in K-12 education or a related field.
- Experience coordinating or delivering youth programs, camps, or afterschool activities.
- Familiarity with PBS educational resources (PBS KIDS, PBS LearningMedia) preferred.
- Proficiency with tools to support program planning such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Passion for supporting children, families, and educators, with a focus on equity and inclusion.
- Valid Driver’s License and insurance.
- Basic computer skills experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse communities in various public settings.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear regularly; lift and carry materials as needed.
- Some remote work may be available with supervisor approval
- Up to 11 paid holidays (holiday must fall on a normally scheduled workday) or time and a half when working on the actual holiday
