This role is intended to be used in a campus location that supports multiple sites within a regional campus or within a customer network.
  • Monitor and Evaluate sites in campus area and/or Network for compliance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Implement standard HSE support offering using common tools
  • Coach Operations Personnel on proactive safety measures and visible safety leadership
  • Coach Operations personnel on their specific HSE responsibilities
  • DevelopJob Safety Analysis’ and Training Programs for campus
  • Assist the Regional HSE Manager in SIP implementation
  • Assist Regional HSE Manger with Start-ups
  • Manage participation on Sector and Business Unit calls.
  • Assist with Claims Management process for injuries in AOR
  • Monitor and provide expertise and assistance on Logics Incident Module
  • Manage, Mentor and Develop Field Safety Personnel
  • Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is complete and accurate for all reported incidents
  • Participate on HSE projects as needed
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support the continuous improvement process
  • Manages special projects as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
  • Associates degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene or related field
  • Bachelor‘s degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene or related field, preferred
  • Travel Requirement: 10%
  • Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), preferred
  • Industrial Hygiene (CIH), preferred
  • Certifiedor Associate Safety Professional (CSP or ASP) Associates degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene or related field, preferred
  • Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), preferred
  • Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or Safety Supervisor (CSS), preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience managing HSE in an operational or functional support role
  • 1-3 years of warehouse/distribution/logistics experience (desired)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory environments
  • Working knowledge of hazardous material / dangerous goods regulations (desired)
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NFPA, ANSI, NHTSA, NATMI, etc. (desired)
  • Considerable knowledge of behavioral-based safety principles and practices
  • Considerable knowledge of accident prevention and safety equipment
  • Working knowledge of HSE Risk Management loss prevention methods
