- Working the main receiving dock and managing the final disposition of products.
- Receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials.
- Distribution of finished goods.
- Receiving, identifying, and verifying incoming materials from production and/or outside vendors, and storing them in appropriate locations according to specifications and department guidelines.
- Distributing and/or storing items per department guidelines and specifications.
- Accurately processing and maintaining all related documentation, both via PC and handwritten.
- Utilizing appropriate material handling equipment to load and/or unload truckload carriers as per specifications.
- Preparing orders for shipment according to instructions and specifications, including pallet labeling, consolidation, or stretch wrapping.
- Maintaining inventory as per department guidelines.
- Responding to all inter-company requests for materials and material counts, serving as a resource for team members and others in resolving related issues and problems.
- As a member of a production support team, training, assisting, and supporting other team members in problem-solving and achieving department goals.
- Continuously reviewing current processes and seeking improvement methods to enhance product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that does not add value.
- Performing general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assisting other areas as required.
- Assisting and supporting in other job functions within the process or other company processes within scope and ability, based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of receiving experience.
- 2 years of Oracle experience is preferred.
- Basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Experience with inventory control and storage locator systems.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment like an Order Picker, Forklift, and Pallet Truck. Must be able to obtain a Material Handling License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, stretch, and bend throughout your shift.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
