We combine technical expertise with organizational knowledge to deliver strategies that enable our civilian and military aviation partners to succeed.Position OverviewThe Mobile HVAC Technician is responsible for the transportation, installation, maintenance, and repair of mobile commercial HVAC units, ensuring optimal performance at various facility locations across the U.S. The technician will transport units up to 25 tons, install temporary supply and return ducting, connect thermostats, and conduct startup checks to verify proper cooling functionality. They will perform both scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, service and repair HVAC units in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and FAA operation and maintenance standards. All maintenance and repairs will be properly documented, and operational checks will be conducted before and after deployment. In addition to HVAC responsibilities, the technician will inspect and maintain the trailers used for transporting HVAC units, ensuring roadworthiness and DOT compliance. This includes repairs to trailer components such as lighting, tires, wheel bearings, axles, decking, and hitches, along with basic carpentry and corrosion control as needed. The technician must maintain a DOT driver's license and be prepared for up to 120 days of travel per year. An EPA license to purchase freon is also required. The technician must comply with all relevant federal and state laws, including NEC, DOT, EPA, OSHA/EOSH regulations, and FAA Orders and Directives. They will also be responsible for maintaining vehicles and equipment to always ensure safe and proper operation.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Mobile HVAC Technician will perform a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:
A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in HVAC systems and repairs.
Experience with the transportation, installation, maintenance, and repair of mobile commercial HVAC units.
Perform scheduled an unscheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing HVAC units.
Will inspect and maintain the trailers used for transporting HVAC units, ensuring roadworthiness and DOT compliance.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma in a labor field from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in transportation, installation, maintenance and repair of mobile commercial HVAC units.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Possession of a valid REAL ID or U.S. Passport.
Must maintain a DOT drivers' license.
Must have/ or obtain an EPA license to purchase freon.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
Prior experience supporting the FAA or other U.S. Government clients.
Work Environment
Full-time, on-site in Oklahoma City, OK.
Travel up to 40% may be required.
