  • Takes orders placed by guest for alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages and food items from menus. Orders drinks from bartender and delivers to guest.
  • Be fully familiar with all food items available and all beverage items available for guest consumption.
  • Maintains sales record. Collects cash or payment by credit card.
  • Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas. May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. and physical.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours annual refresher training.
  • Must meet state/local age (18) requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Stands and walks for long periods.
  • Lifts and carries items weighing less than 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:1. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.
3. Be able to communicate effectively in English.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
