As a Plant Operator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring efficient plant operations, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a mission dedicated to environmental sustainability.Compensation: $135,000 and $150,000 annually, but we offer a competitive hourly rate of $56–$62/hour. This rate accounts for the unique schedule—working 38 hours one week and 50 hours the next. Since all hours over 40 are paid at time and a half, the total compensation is aligned with or can even exceed market income.What You’ll Gain:

- Monitor Performance: Continuously track operational and emissions data, addressing changes proactively.
- Leadership: Train and coordinate Assistant Utility Operators, Utility Operators, and Assistant Plant Operators.
- Maintenance: Conduct detailed inspections during outages and perform maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Experience: At least 2 years as an Assistant Plant Operator or 5 years of experience in a power plant or similar environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in valve repacking, equipment inspection, and other mechanical tasks.
- Licensing: Ability to secure an ASME QRO Provisional License and a 2nd Class Engineer License for Massachusetts facilities.
- Analytical Ability: Strong math skills and a thorough understanding of steam-generating power plant operations.
