- Conduct detailed data gathering sessions - collect, review and summarize client’s personal and financial information. Identify and fully understand client’s concerns, goals and objectives.
- Prepare analyses and projections including, but not limited to, cash flow, education prefunding, executive benefits analyses, philanthropic giving, gift and estate planning, etc. based on data collected and client objectives using software such as eMoney and/or Excel spreadsheets.
- Present financial plans and analyses to clients.
- Update financial plans to reflect changes in client’s personal or financial situation as well as for changes in tax law and investment environment.
- Address client and colleague questions and concerns as they arise.
- Research technical issues for clients and colleagues such as complex estate planning techniques, e.g., GRATs, CRTs, etc., executive benefits considerations, e.g., Section 16(b), etc., and various tax related issues.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of tax law, regulations and investment climate.
- Assist with the drafting and editing of quarterly financial planning newsletter.
- Work collaboratively with Private Bank colleagues to strengthen and expand client relationships. Attend and participate in prospect and Webster colleague informational meetings.
- Travel to various locations, within Webster’s footprint, to attend client/COI/prospect meetings.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or JD a plus.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
- Minimum seven to ten years relevant experience.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and strong aptitude in mastering financial planning software such as eMoney.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal a must.
- Cover letter indicating experience with providing financial planning analyses to high-net-worth individuals.
