Help us help others, and join Team Unum today!General Summary: The Senior Treasury Analyst role is a senior level individual contributor position that performs moderately complex analysis and/or accounting specializing in one area of Treasury. This role facilitates daily treasury operations, provides accurate cash reporting, and assists with bank structure management and risk management activities. Produces reports to aid in the forecasting of cash needs for the business and assists with other Treasury functions. Works cross functionally with external banking partners, Finance, and other Unum partners. The position will support core treasury operations while applying data analytics to improve financial reporting, decision-making, and process efficiency. This role combines traditional treasury responsibilities with advanced analytical capabilities to drive strategic insights. Responsibilities may include the development of, implementation of, and adherence to financial policies and procedures that will improve operations, consistency, controls, process efficiency, and effectiveness of the functional area.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesMentor and oversee work of less experienced team members.Participate in regular monthly/quarterly financial cycle.Reconcile and balance accounts related to the specific financial area to maintain control and accuracy by identifying discrepancies and their cause and recommendations for corrective action.Use knowledge and skills to make appropriate recommendations for efficiencies and to enhance productivity.Act as a Treasury liaison with the company’s business units in setting up new bank accounts, services, and handling bank inquiries and related matters.Maintain integrity of data in various systems and data assets that support the specific financial areas (e.g., accounting, planning, and administrative systems).Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.Identify and implement improvements to treasury processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices in treasury management.Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor treasury metrics and performance.Analyze transaction data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.Partner with business areas to provide requested analysis, information, and data.Provides information in connection with the external and internal audits and monitors Treasury activities to ensure compliance.Accept responsibility for outcome of his/her own efforts.Partner effectively with business management (typically at an officer level) to provide solutions that deliver business value.Communicate issues identified, proactively recommend the most appropriate/effective resolutions and present effectively to management.Maintain a strong, specialized working knowledge of Unum’s products, services and business processes including, his/her specific business area, the issues and technical skills required to support the area.Job SpecificationsBachelor’s degree or comparable work experience at Unum that well prepares and qualifies the individual for the specific work to be performed.CTP, CPA, CMA or CFA certification preferred.Three to six years comparable work experience, preferably corporate treasury, or banking experienceStrong understanding of the components of multiple financial statements and how they interact with one anotherExperience navigating change in a positive way.Has mastered solid customer service skills while working effectively with functional area, team, and other resources to complete assigned work while broadening contacts in other functional areas.Highly motivated individual able to take independent actions to solve problems/issues with limited involvement from manager.Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance from manager.Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with all levels of management. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience. $63,500.00-$120,000.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
