
Program Aide

- Ability to work cooperatively with staff.
- Ability to supervise children in independent activities and prevent exposure to safety hazards.
- Adhere to The Salvation Army’s “Protecting the Mission Policy for Working with Minor’s”
- Provides constant supervision of children while involved in The Salvation Army’s programs.
- Sit with children during all meal times and eat the same “Type A” snack as the children to provide a model for good nutritional habits *unless modified meals are prescribed by a physician’s statement.
- Assist and collaborate with the teachers, other staff, or any supervisor in the creation of lesson plans
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and DOJ LiveScan fingerprinting.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certified preferred but not required
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include color vision.
- Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to operate telephone.
- Ability to lift-up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
- Must have uninhibited physical mobility in bending, jumping, and lifting up to 30lbs, be capable of auditory and visual, and be able to verbally interact with the children and staff.
