Base Specialty Welder ($20,000 Sign-On Bonus)

- Perform advanced welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) to join and repair a variety of metals and alloys.
- Experience with oxyacetylene cutting and brazing techniques, including torch setup, adjustment and safety practices.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and grinding metals to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and time spent on each project
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a welding role, preferably in a specialty field.
- Proficiency in operating welding machinery, tools, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in varying conditions (e.g., heat, confined spaces, heights).
- Work may involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, and hot or cold temperatures.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.
