Director of School Mental Health ProgramsLocation: Illinois (Hybrid/Remote with statewide travel up to 25%)Position OverviewDo you have 6+ years of experience as a counselor, social worker, or school psychologist? Are you passionate about improving school-based mental health systems while helping shape innovative solutions at scale?MIYO Health is seeking a Director of School Mental Health Programs to lead the development and delivery of professional learning for Illinois schools. This role combines clinical expertise, training leadership, and business development to expand our impact in school districts. You will serve as our subject matter expert on mental health practices, partnering with district leaders and our sales team to advance school readiness, universal screening, and evidence-based student support.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Program Development
  • Design and implement evidence-based professional development curricula
  • Build assessment tools, competency frameworks, and training materials (online & in-person)
Program Delivery & Support
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions statewide
  • Support districts with universal screening rollout and integration of sustainable practices
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance and coaching
Business Development & Partnerships
  • Lead webinars, presentations, and advocacy for MIYO’s mental health programs
  • Build partnerships with school districts, universities, and state agencies
  • Meet with superintendents and district leaders to present MIYO’s solutions

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology, School Social Work, or School Counseling
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Support Personnel Endorsement
Experience (minimum 6 years):
  • Direct school-based mental health services (individual/group counseling, crisis intervention, IEP development)
  • Leading training/professional development (curriculum design, group facilitation)
  • Program coordination or leadership role in an educational setting
  • In-depth knowledge of Illinois school systems (strongly preferred)
