CVOR Surgical Tech Job Details
- Location: Charlotte, NC 28210 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility Setting: Hospital Operating Room Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR specialty)
- Employment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist (locum tenens)
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- End Date: December 13, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am 7:00pm)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630-$1750
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience (CVOR or cardiovascular surgery preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- National Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred
- Proficient in scrubbing for a variety of surgical cases: Orthopedic, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Urology, Robotic, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, Plastic surgery
- First-time travel surgical techs are encouraged to apply
- Scrub and assist in complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and more
- Support a high-volume OR with 13 operating rooms and 1 procedure/cysto room
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: OR assistants, charge nurse, anesthesia/CRNA, and support staff
- Assist with room turnovers, surgical supply stocking, patient positioning, and operation of specialized surgical tables
- Utilize advanced surgical technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors
- Participate in facility orientation (NEO) and comprehensive 2-day departmental training
