Execution:Leads Health Benefit Educators/Benefit Education Leads team with full management and technical responsibility for team outputManages a staff of benefit education professionals who are responsible for delivering benefit education/steerage education to existing and prospective Cigna customersGuides client/customer-focused problem resolution and influences/leads process improvementExecute the organization's benefit/plan capabilities to direct reports, identify potential sales opportunities to inform sales leadership and account managers in the local market(s)Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challengesFocuses on ensuring short-term outputs and the effectiveness of team integration with other work areasProvides input into workforce planning and recruitment activitiesKey Responsibilities:Manage Health Benefit Education/Benefit Education Leads team of direct reports by region. Drive individual and team execution of go-to-market approach aligned with U3000 programs and solutionsMaintains current knowledge of and expertise in all benefit-related products, programs, strategies, and tacticsMaintains collaborative relationships with key matrix partners across the organization, both within the sales organization and with those stakeholders that support benefit educationMaintains current knowledge of sales and competitive activity in the assigned market(s)Demonstrates mastery of available or upcoming health engagement products, resources, tools, presentations, materials, and collateralSupports local market(s) with competitive health engagement solutions, strategies, and tacticsEnsures team has knowledge and ability to develop market inquiries/responses for health engagement solutions; including the facilitation of training/updates for sales and account management teamsDrives team accountability on progress and fulfillment of goals and objectives, providing feedback and coaching and formally reviewing and recognizing performanceProvides supervision and guidance as they perform their duties for assigned accounts; foster a growth mindset and champions Cigna's Connect to Growth philosophyManages local market team(s) of Health Benefit Educators (HBE); oversees the Go-To-Market strategy/deploymentWorking with Engagement Director/Sr. Engagement Directors- champions change management to team, market, and segmentBuilds relationships with the sales management team and fosters the development of relationships between the sales and engagement team (Middle Market/O500 and Select/U500 Segments) at local levelsProvides quality assurance for benefit education strategy, communication, and meeting execution in the marketMeasures market activities and makes interventions based on resultsEnsures 100% assignment of Health Benefit Education team resourceResponsible for hiring, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating, and developing team membersResponsible for the overall management of client events-coordinating with matrix teams to ensure coverage for inbound and outbound enrollment events for the local market and other Cigna officesProvides leadership in local market and enterprise-level situations, including driving the success of local initiativesAchieve the team business plan objectives, both in support of the implementation of new plans and in identifying and responding to team needsQualifications:Bachelor’s preferred; in health education, health administration, account management, or a related field1+ years team lead and/or prior management experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsBi-lingual Spanish-speaking candidates highly desiredStrong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal skills with direct experience in successfully managing client-facing/growth initiatives within highly matrixed organizationsProven ability to excel in a heavily matrixed environmentAbility to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions in partnership with sales, account management, underwriting, and product teams to solve various unique market problems.Must be willing to travel to remote trainings/meetings as needed – 10-15%If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.About Cigna HealthcareCigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
