Our Client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for an Azure and Data Bricks Platform Architect for their Deerfield, IL/Remote location.Responsibilities:
  • Develop, Design, Document & Communicate Architecture solutions and roadmaps
  • Assess/Test, Monitor and Support architecture solutions and governance
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with development.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
  • The ideal candidate must be capable of demonstrating critical thinking, needs analysis, and have a quantifiable record of success in systems architecture and design.
  • The ability to lead ad hoc and in-depth technical architecture, design and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of design techniques and data integration principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience.
  • (May also work under these titles: Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer/Architect, could even be Database Administrator)
  • Assist the Databricks and Azure platform teams to configure and provision resources and access to support cross-enterprise programs and departments on a shared platform. Team is at beginning of migration
  • DataBricks 3 years, DevOps 5 years, 10 years total
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for projects, troubleshoot data pipeline failures, Advise on Company policy re data security
  • Configure and manage Databricks workspaces, access, and other resources
  • Configure and manage Azure resources / access such as ADLS, data factory, Unity Catalog, and other resources
  • Author and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to support deployment of Infrastructure as Code pipelines in addition to data pipelines for applications such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, etc.
  • Collaborate with multiple programs and departments providing enterprise platform support
  • Experience with Azure Security administration including application of Entra IDs - Strong communication and workload mgmt.
  • Experience with configuring and consuming Control M job scheduling
  • Experiencing setting up new network connectivity, collaborating with required support teams -Snowflake CERTS
  • Nice to Have: Azure Admin, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Engineer SOFT
  • Honesty, Direct about their capabilities, Clear communication
